Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Implement an ambitious and well-structured English curriculum.
  • Support student progress through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with developments in English education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English.
  • Experience of working with students aged 11–16.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to inclusion and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading curriculum initiatives.
  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with digital tools and resources in teaching.
