Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Implement an ambitious and well-structured English curriculum.
- Support student progress through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience for all students.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with developments in English education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English.
- Experience of working with students aged 11–16.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to inclusion and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading curriculum initiatives.
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with digital tools and resources in teaching.
