Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and forward-thinking lessons to both KS3 and KS4 students
  • Plan and deliver a creative and stimulating English curriculum
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage a classroom with high expectations for achievement and behaviour
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities
  • Support students in achieving academic and personal success
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning
  • Continuously develop professional practice through training and development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant English qualifications
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and innovative lessons
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in planning and delivering a creative and stimulating curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language
  • Early career teacher or experienced teacher with a passion for education
  • Experience working in a collaborative and inclusive school environment
