Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a full timetable and support the Co-Curricular Programme by leading at least two activities per week.
  • Encourage each pupil to reach their academic potential through personalised and enthusiastic teaching.
  • Develop and share schemes of work and resources in line with departmental standards.
  • Support colleagues by covering classes as required and participating in internal and external assessments.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos through behaviour, communication, and involvement in the wider school community.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues while ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils.
  • Contribute to the school’s Self Evaluation and Development Plan and support the school’s online presence through publications and social media.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong academic record, including a good degree in a relevant subject.
  • Proven teaching experience with a track record of achieving excellent public examination results.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students, with a genuine commitment to their academic and personal development.
  • Familiarity with College policies on teaching, learning, assessment, and safeguarding.
  • Commitment to the school’s values, culture, and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods, such as mastery approaches.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to the Co-Curricular Programme.
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
