Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progression.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of Mathematics and its real-world applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning across the faculty.
- Take responsibility for the management and development of the Mathematics curriculum.
- Participate in the school’s Continuing Professional Development (CPDL) programme and contribute to staff training and development.
- Engage in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Commitment to student progress and high standards of teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Further Mathematics.
- Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives or curriculum development.
- Familiarity with educational research and its application in the classroom.
