Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for experienced candidates.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with current best practices in education.
  • Support the school’s ethos and contribute to a wide range of co-curricular activities.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and promote positive behaviour.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
  • Involvement in co-curricular activities.
  • Experience with ICT in the classroom.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
