Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students across KS3-KS5, including GCSE and A-level courses.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that ensures all students make exceptional progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent achievement and improvement.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Engage in professional development and continue to enhance subject-specific pedagogy.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Maths education.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding lessons and achieve high student outcomes.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, including GCSE and A-level qualifications.
  • Experience working within a large and successful department.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further Maths at A-level.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a Maths department.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with the Beacon Academy Trust’s values and mission.
