Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve departmental outcomes.
  • Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the maths curriculum in line with school and Trust priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at the appropriate level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a school within a multi-academy trust.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives.
