The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive English language lessons tailored to students of varying proficiency levels.
  • Promote a multilingual learning environment that values and celebrates linguistic diversity.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students across different grades and language levels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support students in accessing and excelling within the IB curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and strategies to mainstream teachers for scaffolding, differentiation, and language support.
  • Evaluate and align teaching practices with relevant educational standards.
  • Share professional expertise and support colleagues across disciplines.
  • Demonstrate international-mindedness and the ability to teach for a global audience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification in language acquisition or ELL (e.g., TOEFL or CELTA).
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiation strategies and language support frameworks.
  • Be flexible, collaborative, and reflective with a passion for working with multilingual learners.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching language acquisition or English as a Second Language within an IB or international context.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
