The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join our dynamic department and contribute to the co-curricular life of the school. This role offers the chance to work with talented students and make a meaningful impact on their musical development across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Music to students across the entire age range, from Junior School to Sixth Form.
- Deliver both IGCSE and IB Diploma Music syllabuses with high academic standards.
- Support and contribute to a wide range of co-curricular music activities, including orchestras, bands, and societies.
- Assist in organizing and participating in evening and weekend music recitals throughout the academic year.
- Collaborate with the Director of Music and other departmental staff to enhance the quality of music education.
- For the right candidate, coordinate co-curricular music provision across the school.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the school’s mission of academic and personal growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Music education.
- Strong knowledge of IGCSE and IB Music syllabuses.
- Proven ability to teach across all age groups.
- Commitment to co-curricular involvement and student development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or coordinating co-curricular music activities.
- Familiarity with performance and recording technologies.
- Experience in international school environments.
- Fluency in additional languages, particularly Korean or Mandarin.
