The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join its team from September 2026. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a thriving arts program, with opportunities to teach Performing Arts and/or Drama.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality music lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies.
- Support students in achieving their full potential in music and related subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the arts curriculum.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including music ensembles and performances.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral care and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
- Strong subject knowledge in music and Performing Arts.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Experience working with students aged 11–18.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Performing Arts and/or Drama.
- ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
