The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join its team from September 2026. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a thriving arts program, with opportunities to teach Performing Arts and/or Drama.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential in music and related subjects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the arts curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including music ensembles and performances.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral care and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in music and Performing Arts.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Experience working with students aged 11–18.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Performing Arts and/or Drama.
  • ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
