Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Support the development of a strong extra-curricular music programme, including school productions and talent shows.
- Prepare and assess students in line with the school's academic and musical standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum and student experience.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching and student progress through continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
- Strong subject knowledge in music, including performance and theory.
- Experience teaching students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering music at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular music activities.
- Experience with music scholarships or gifted student programmes.
- Familiarity with independent school environments.
