The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Support the development of a strong extra-curricular music programme, including school productions and talent shows.
  • Prepare and assess students in line with the school's academic and musical standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum and student experience.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Ensure the highest standards of teaching and student progress through continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in music, including performance and theory.
  • Experience teaching students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering music at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular music activities.
  • Experience with music scholarships or gifted student programmes.
  • Familiarity with independent school environments.
