The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Physical Education to join a successful and growing faculty. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-achieving department, delivering core PE, GCSE, and A Level courses, while engaging students in interschool and international competitions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to students across key stages, including GCSE and A Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive PE programs that promote physical and personal development.
  • Support the school’s commitment to extracurricular activities, including interschool and international competitions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and student experience.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and community events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards and examination requirements.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives to maintain and improve teaching practice.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Secondary level education or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Physical Education curricula, including GCSE and A Level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student welfare and school values.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to successful PE departments.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art PE facilities and equipment.
  • Experience in coaching or leading extracurricular sports teams.
  • Background in safeguarding and child protection procedures.
