Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the delivery of other science subjects where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the school’s thriving co-curricular programme through extracurricular science activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and engagement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence, with a focus on preparing them for top universities worldwide.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in physics or a related science subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality science education.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching other science subjects such as chemistry or biology.
  • Familiarity with the UK curriculum and examination systems.
  • Experience in a co-educational or independent school setting.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Experience with the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (ISTIP).
