Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics across all Key Stages.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the delivery of PSHE as part of the school timetable.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress effectively.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student well-being.
  • Engage with parents and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach to student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Religion, Philosophy and Ethics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse range of students and deliver effective lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching PSHE.
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative in a school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
