The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, imaginative, and varied science lessons to students across all year groups.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the science curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love of science.
  • Participate in the school’s extensive co-curricular programme and pastoral care initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging science education.
  • Experience working with students aged 11–18.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Previous experience in teaching at an independent school.
  • Experience with the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (ISTIP).
  • Demonstrated ability to support student welfare and pastoral care.
