Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, imaginative, and varied science lessons to students across all year groups.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the science curriculum.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love of science.
- Participate in the school’s extensive co-curricular programme and pastoral care initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate new teaching methods.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging science education.
- Experience working with students aged 11–18.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
- Previous experience in teaching at an independent school.
- Experience with the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (ISTIP).
- Demonstrated ability to support student welfare and pastoral care.
