The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science to join a high-achieving department. The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach at KS5. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT to grow and contribute to a successful team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science to students in KS3 and their specialist Science at KS4.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support students in achieving excellent results across all levels of Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practice.
- Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 5.
- Experience with assessment and marking.
- Experience working with ECTs or in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
