Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and inclusive Science curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Promote a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific literacy among students.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student achievement and school values.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities throughout the academic year.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and science-related events that enhance student engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in Science teaching at the appropriate level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive and student-centred teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative Science curricula.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance Science teaching.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (if applicable).
- Leadership experience or an interest in taking on a leadership role within the department.
