The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Science, you will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop a passion for science and achieve incredible results. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing science department and contribute to the development of a dynamic and innovative curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach science across Key Stages 3-5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and national standards.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and development within the science department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using data to inform teaching and intervention strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and support to students.
  • Support the school’s mission to ensure all students know more, do more, and achieve more.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in science education at Key Stages 3-5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in science, with a particular focus on physics.
  • Experience in curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Ability to use assessment data to monitor and support student progress.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of ambition, kindness, resilience, and respect.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching separate sciences.
  • Experience in working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
  • Experience in collaborative teaching and curriculum development.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
