The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Spanish to join its Languages Department. This role involves teaching Spanish up to A Level and Advanced Higher, with a focus on delivering high-quality education and supporting students' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish to students across all year groups, up to A Level and Advanced Higher.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and innovative lesson plans tailored to students’ needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Languages Department and across the school.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Spanish at secondary level.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and support student learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably within the UK education system.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Spanish up to A Level and Advanced Higher.
  • Familiarity with Scottish education standards and curricula.
  • Experience with boarding school environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and take on leadership roles.
