The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant EYFS and KS1 to join our Pre-Prep team and support teaching staff across Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2. This role offers a dynamic and varied environment, with the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers and teaching assistants in delivering high-quality education to pupils across EYFS and KS1.
  • Provide individual and group support to students with additional needs where required.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and record-keeping as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continued professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in a school or early years setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Commitment to child safety and welfare, with willingness to undergo relevant checks.
  • Basic educational qualifications, with a preference for those with relevant teaching or childcare qualifications.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with early years and primary education curricula.
  • Confidence in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
  • Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
