The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant EYFS and KS1 to join our Pre-Prep team and support teaching staff across Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2. This role offers a dynamic and varied environment, with the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers and teaching assistants in delivering high-quality education to pupils across EYFS and KS1.
- Provide individual and group support to students with additional needs where required.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom resources and materials.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Support the implementation of the school’s curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Assist with administrative tasks and record-keeping as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continued professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young children, ideally in a school or early years setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a changing environment.
- Commitment to child safety and welfare, with willingness to undergo relevant checks.
- Basic educational qualifications, with a preference for those with relevant teaching or childcare qualifications.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience working with students with additional needs.
- Familiarity with early years and primary education curricula.
- Confidence in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
- Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
