The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant - Foundation Stage is needed to support young learners and contribute to a dynamic and nurturing educational environment. This role is essential in delivering a stimulating and interactive learning experience for children in the early years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals and groups both inside and outside the classroom.
- Contribute positively to teaching and learning, understanding the developmental needs of young children.
- Demonstrate patience, a caring attitude, and confidence in managing groups of children.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff to deliver the Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Facilitate learning both indoors and outdoors, regardless of the weather.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in after-school activities.
- Model interactive play and demonstrate excellent spoken English.
- Fulfill duty obligations and support the school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A CACHE Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher with at least 2 years of relevant experience working with children in the Foundation Stage.
- Knowledge of the British curriculum, EYFS Framework, and Development Matters.
- Experience in a teaching or teaching assistant role within the Foundation Stage.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
- A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
- Confidence in managing and engaging with large groups of young learners.
Preferred
- Experience with interactive play and outdoor learning.
- Familiarity with child development and learning strategies.
- Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities.
