The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant - Foundation Stage is needed to support young learners and contribute to a dynamic and nurturing educational environment. This role is essential in delivering a stimulating and interactive learning experience for children in the early years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals and groups both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Contribute positively to teaching and learning, understanding the developmental needs of young children.
  • Demonstrate patience, a caring attitude, and confidence in managing groups of children.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff to deliver the Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Facilitate learning both indoors and outdoors, regardless of the weather.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in after-school activities.
  • Model interactive play and demonstrate excellent spoken English.
  • Fulfill duty obligations and support the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A CACHE Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher with at least 2 years of relevant experience working with children in the Foundation Stage.
  • Knowledge of the British curriculum, EYFS Framework, and Development Matters.
  • Experience in a teaching or teaching assistant role within the Foundation Stage.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
  • A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Confidence in managing and engaging with large groups of young learners.

Preferred

  • Experience with interactive play and outdoor learning.
  • Familiarity with child development and learning strategies.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities.
