The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs and contribute to a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with additional needs in the classroom and during lessons.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual requirements.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure students receive consistent and effective support.
- Monitor and record student progress and behavior in line with school policies.
- Provide one-to-one support to students where required.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Assist with administrative tasks and general classroom duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with students with additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work term time plus one week (inset) and 30 hours per week.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a teaching or support role within a school setting.
- Knowledge of SEN (Special Educational Needs) support strategies.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
- Familiarity with educational software and tools.
