The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs and contribute to a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional needs in the classroom and during lessons.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual requirements.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure students receive consistent and effective support.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behavior in line with school policies.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students where required.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and general classroom duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work term time plus one week (inset) and 30 hours per week.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a teaching or support role within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of SEN (Special Educational Needs) support strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Familiarity with educational software and tools.
