The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital in-class support to pupils with specific educational needs. This is a term-time only position, offering flexibility in working hours. You will be part of a professional and motivated team committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with specific educational needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist in planning and delivering targeted learning activities.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure the needs of all students are met.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support as required.
- Monitor and record student progress and development.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good knowledge of Maths and English.
- Working knowledge of ICT.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undergo Pre-Employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Certificate.
Preferred
- Experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
- Previous experience in a teaching or support role.
- Flexibility to take on additional duties after school or at lunchtime.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Full time equivalent salary: £25,185-£25,583 (pro-rata for part-time roles).
- Flexible working hours with the option to adjust start and finish times.
