Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups across a range of subjects and activities
- Implement personalised timetables, behaviour plans, and therapeutic approaches
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional development
- Prepare engaging resources and activities that bring learning to life
- Support pupils during educational visits, off-site activities, and enrichment opportunities
- Maintain clear and accurate records that contribute to each pupil’s wider support plan
- Assist with pupil transport for bespoke provision or planned off-site activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A calm, consistent, and caring approach, especially during moments of challenge
- Experience working with young people and a belief that education should adapt around individual needs
- Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Team player with the ability to use initiative and good judgement
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Previous experience in special educational needs settings
- Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and behaviour support strategies
