Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups across a range of subjects and activities
  • Implement personalised timetables, behaviour plans, and therapeutic approaches
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional development
  • Prepare engaging resources and activities that bring learning to life
  • Support pupils during educational visits, off-site activities, and enrichment opportunities
  • Maintain clear and accurate records that contribute to each pupil’s wider support plan
  • Assist with pupil transport for bespoke provision or planned off-site activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • A calm, consistent, and caring approach, especially during moments of challenge
  • Experience working with young people and a belief that education should adapt around individual needs
  • Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Team player with the ability to use initiative and good judgement

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Previous experience in special educational needs settings
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and behaviour support strategies
