Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with complex learning difficulties and disabilities in structured learning activities
  • Assist in managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies and individual support plans
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to pupils in collaboration with form tutors
  • Contribute to the transition and organisation of pupils throughout the 24-hour curriculum
  • Attend staff training and meetings as required
  • Demonstrate good practice in confidentiality and data protection
  • Support the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE-level qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils with complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Preferred

  • Experience in a special needs or autism support setting
  • Knowledge of behaviour support plans
  • Familiarity with education and care frameworks
  • Experience with assistive technologies or communication aids
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
