Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with complex learning difficulties and disabilities in structured learning activities
- Assist in managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies and individual support plans
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to pupils in collaboration with form tutors
- Contribute to the transition and organisation of pupils throughout the 24-hour curriculum
- Attend staff training and meetings as required
- Demonstrate good practice in confidentiality and data protection
- Support the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE-level qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with pupils with complex needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Preferred
- Experience in a special needs or autism support setting
- Knowledge of behaviour support plans
- Familiarity with education and care frameworks
- Experience with assistive technologies or communication aids
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
