The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in EYFS and Key Stage 1. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children and committed to their development. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in planning, preparing, and setting out programmes of work, activities, and resources
  • Deliver activities and programmes of work to groups or individual pupils under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Provide appropriate levels of support and interaction to promote pupil learning and development
  • Promote the school’s mission and values within the Ignatian tradition
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils at all times
  • Assist with the supervision and management of pupils during lessons and activities
  • Contribute to the overall development of the school community
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging environment for pupils

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with children in the EYFS age range
  • Understanding and empathy for the needs of young children
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support teaching staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values

Preferred

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Experience of working in a school or educational setting
  • Familiarity with the Ignatian tradition and values
