Key Responsibilities:
- Assist qualified teachers in delivering a broad curriculum based on the National Curriculum.
- Support students in lessons both on and off site.
- Help students develop self-help skills, life skills, and social understanding.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
- Prepare and organize learning materials and activities for students.
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with additional needs.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage student independence.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Experience working with young people with additional needs.
- Strong organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in education or youth support.
- Knowledge of teaching strategies for students with special educational needs.
- Experience in supporting students with self-regulation and life skills development.
