The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students in achieving their learning goals. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with additional needs, while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified teachers in delivering a broad curriculum based on the National Curriculum.
  • Support students both on and off-site during lessons and learning activities.
  • Help students develop self-help, life, and social understanding skills.
  • Work flexibly and effectively within a team, under the direction of a qualified teacher.
  • Prepare and organize learning materials and resources for classroom use.
  • Provide individual and group support to students with additional needs.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage student participation in learning.
  • Support students in progressing through formal learning situations and programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with young people with additional needs.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable students.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or youth support roles.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies for students with additional learning needs.
  • Experience with behaviour management techniques.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and vocational learning approaches.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary of £21,257.47 for 37.5 hours per week.
  • 5.6 weeks of paid annual leave with 7.4 weeks unpaid (term time employees).
