The Opportunity:

Join a dedicated team as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support teaching staff and help create an engaging learning environment for young children. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of pupils in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and classroom management.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual care and support programmes tailored to the needs of pupils.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Work closely with senior staff to ensure the smooth running of lessons and activities.
  • Provide care and support to pupils in both classroom and non-classroom settings.
  • Encourage the development of basic skills and personal growth in young learners.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assist with the planning and organisation of educational activities and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience working with children under the age of 5.
  • Level 2 qualification in teaching assistance or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work flexibly and support the needs of young children in a nursery setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and development of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of early years curriculum and child development.
  • Experience with personalised learning and supporting children with additional needs.
  • Flexibility to work term time only and on a part-time basis.
