The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and helping them thrive academically and personally. You’ll work closely with students to deliver a tailored learning experience, contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with individual learning needs through tailored interventions and activities.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering classroom resources and materials.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support during lessons and activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
  • Encourage and support students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Participate in a range of additional opportunities such as Outdoor Education, Farm, and Forest School activities.
  • Accompany students on trips and excursions, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • English and Maths GCSE qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different classroom and outdoor environments.

Preferred

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant training.
  • Experience in areas such as animal care, horticulture, construction, or outdoor education.
  • Initiative and enthusiasm for creative and practical learning activities.
