Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with complex needs to achieve learning and personal goals
- Help plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage active learning
- Provide emotional and physical support to ensure pupils feel safe, valued, and understood
- Encourage independence, self-confidence, and positive social interactions
- Assist with outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and off-site trips
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality support
- Participate in regular training and professional development to grow your skills
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience supporting pupils with complex needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
- A caring, patient, and adaptable team player
- Confidence in taking on a variety of classroom and outdoor roles tailored to each pupil’s needs
Preferred
- Experience working with children with autism or SEMH
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to positive learning or behavioural outcomes
- Experience in planning and delivering practical, engaging lessons
