Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with complex needs to achieve learning and personal goals
  • Help plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage active learning
  • Provide emotional and physical support to ensure pupils feel safe, valued, and understood
  • Encourage independence, self-confidence, and positive social interactions
  • Assist with outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and off-site trips
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality support
  • Participate in regular training and professional development to grow your skills

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable team player
  • Confidence in taking on a variety of classroom and outdoor roles tailored to each pupil’s needs

Preferred

  • Experience working with children with autism or SEMH
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to positive learning or behavioural outcomes
  • Experience in planning and delivering practical, engaging lessons
