The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant is needed to support students across all key stages and assist class teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering lessons and managing small groups of students
- Assist with pupil behaviour management and promote positive interactions
- Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with students
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a structured and engaging curriculum
- Monitor and report on student progress and development
- Promote independence and inclusion through tailored support
- Work closely with other staff to ensure a consistent approach to student care and education
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- High level of patience and understanding
- Commitment to supporting students with autism and learning difficulties
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
Preferred
- Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs
- Previous experience in an educational or care setting
- Knowledge of teaching strategies and techniques for students with learning difficulties
- Experience in behaviour management and positive reinforcement methods
