Key Responsibilities:
- Support students during lessons and help them make progress in formal learning and life skills
- Assist teachers in preparing and delivering classroom activities
- Support students in school-based and community-based learning environments
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with teaching staff and other support teams
- Promote positive behaviour and social understanding among students
- Provide one-to-one or small group support where required
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- No criminal record that may affect the safety and welfare of students
- Clean, current car driving license (where required)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
Preferred
- Teaching Assistant qualification
- Knowledge of autism or special educational needs
- Experience in learning support or working with children and young people
- Experience of working effectively in a team environment
