Teaching Assistant job with 4-Day Working Week trial in Uxbridge.

The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic students aged 11–19, helping them build confidence, independence, and communication skills. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in small class groups with autism, encouraging independence and confidence
- Assist teachers in preparing lessons and learning activities
- Provide emotional and practical support throughout the day
- Create a calm, safe, and positive learning environment for students
- Help students develop communication and social skills
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers
- Contribute to the school’s mission of promoting respect, safety, and readiness
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A genuine desire to help others and support students with autism
- Adaptable and empathetic with a strong commitment to teamwork
- Commitment to helping students build confidence and independence
- Willingness to receive and complete full training
Preferred
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism or other special educational needs (SEN)
- Experience working in an educational or care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies
Compensation & Benefits:
- £24,675 per year (term time only)
- 4-Day Working Week trial coming soon – get paid for five days but work four
