The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences and help create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in reaching their academic, social, and emotional potential
- Deliver tailored learning experiences under the guidance of teachers
- Assist with classroom organisation, lesson preparation, and small group interventions
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Track pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents to support student development
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote pupil welfare
- Take on additional responsibilities to help the school thrive
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE Grade C (or above) in Maths and English
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Understanding of safeguarding and SEN principles
- Willingness to undertake training and professional development
Preferred
- Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Previous experience in a teaching or support role
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £24,675.00 per annum
- 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
- Opportunity to work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay
