Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom to ensure academic progress and personal development.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery under the guidance of teachers.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to enhance self-esteem and motivation.
  • Monitor and support student behavior to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs where required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop effective learning strategies.
  • Promote a culture of respect, safety, and accountability among students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training to enhance professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student welfare.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience working with young people in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
