The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will support teaching staff in the classroom and help create an inclusive learning environment for all students. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teaching staff in managing the classroom and supporting student learning.
- Provide individualised support to students to help them access the curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support programmes to improve student engagement and achievement.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture by modelling good behaviour and encouraging student participation.
- Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as required.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by teaching staff.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a teaching or support role, ideally within education.
- A commitment to supporting student learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and classroom support techniques.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Understanding of current educational policies and practices.
