The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will support teaching staff in the classroom and assist with learning and behaviour management. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes in a dynamic and supportive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering learning activities and managing classroom behaviour.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of learning resources and materials.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as required.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans.
  • Work collaboratively with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or learning support role.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and behaviour management.
  • Flexibility to work term time only and part-time hours.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • First aid or safeguarding training.
