The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant Level 2 is required to support students and teachers in creating an engaging and effective learning environment. This role plays a key part in helping students achieve their full potential through classroom support and individual care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
  • Assist with the management of pupils and the classroom environment.
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them access learning.
  • Work with students on care and support programmes as required.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Assist with administrative and organisational tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with teaching and senior staff to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or support role.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
  • Flexibility to work term time only and part-time hours.
  • Willingness to support both classroom and non-classroom activities.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 or similar role.
  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with educational support strategies and programmes.
  • Experience in a school or academy setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
