The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant Level 2 is required to support students and teachers in creating an engaging and effective learning environment. This role plays a key part in helping students achieve their full potential through classroom support and individual care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
- Assist with the management of pupils and the classroom environment.
- Provide individualised support to students to help them access learning.
- Work with students on care and support programmes as required.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Assist with administrative and organisational tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with teaching and senior staff to ensure the needs of all students are met.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a teaching or support role.
- Ability to work effectively with students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
- Flexibility to work term time only and part-time hours.
- Willingness to support both classroom and non-classroom activities.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 or similar role.
- Experience working with students with additional needs.
- Familiarity with educational support strategies and programmes.
- Experience in a school or academy setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
