Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in accessing learning through tailored assistance and care programmes.
- Assist teachers with classroom management and pupil support in both classroom and non-classroom settings.
- Deliver work and care programmes in line with the guidance of teaching and senior staff.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the needs of students are met effectively.
- Contribute to the smooth running of lessons and activities.
- Support the implementation of teaching strategies and learning objectives.
- Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner to encourage participation and progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a teaching or support role, ideally within an educational setting.
- A commitment to supporting students and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work term time only, with 32.5 hours per week.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational environment.
- Knowledge of child development and learning support strategies.
- Experience with teaching assistants or similar roles.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
