The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance, helping them achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with individual learning needs through tailored assistance and encouragement
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver effective learning activities
- Monitor and record student progress regularly
- Assist with behavior management and promote positive classroom interactions
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students
- Work flexibly across different key stages and support requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience working in a classroom or educational support setting
- Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience relevant to teaching and learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience working with students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions or complex needs
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices
- Experience in developing individual learning plans
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies
