The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise students with SEND in the classroom and during lessons.
  • Ensure the safety and access to learning for students with SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to maximise student potential.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement in learning.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the department and the school.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
  • Flexibility to work term time plus additional days.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a teaching or support role within an educational setting.
  • Experience with teaching interventions and individualised learning plans.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices.
  • Experience with behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
