The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with SEND. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and supervise students with SEND in the classroom and during lessons.
Ensure the safety and access to learning for students with SEND.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to maximise student potential.
Assist in the development and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual needs.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement in learning.
Contribute to the overall development of the department and the school.
Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Experience working with students with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
Flexibility to work term time plus additional days.

Preferred

Previous experience in a teaching or support role within an educational setting.
Experience with teaching interventions and individualised learning plans.
Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices.
Experience with behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
