The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with special needs in a dynamic and caring educational setting. You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment that helps students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with special educational needs during lessons and activities.
Assist in planning and delivering individualized learning programs.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as required.
Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Support students in developing life skills and independence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Experience working with young people with special needs or learning disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

Experience working with young people on the autistic spectrum.
Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
Previous experience in a school or care setting.
