The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a classroom setting, working closely with teachers to help students reach their full potential. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on young people’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual and small group learning under the guidance of a teacher
- Assist in delivering structured learning activities and maintaining a focused classroom environment
- Promote positive relationships with pupils and encourage their personal and social development
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to the teaching staff
- Provide additional support to pupils with special needs and/or bilingual needs
- Contribute to the overall learning environment in a respectful and encouraging manner
- Assist with administrative and organisational tasks as required
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to supporting the learning and development of all pupils
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in working with pupils with special educational needs
- Experience in a school or similar educational environment
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies
- Experience with bilingual support or language development
