The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a classroom setting, working closely with teachers to help students reach their full potential. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on young people’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual and small group learning under the guidance of a teacher
  • Assist in delivering structured learning activities and maintaining a focused classroom environment
  • Promote positive relationships with pupils and encourage their personal and social development
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to the teaching staff
  • Provide additional support to pupils with special needs and/or bilingual needs
  • Contribute to the overall learning environment in a respectful and encouraging manner
  • Assist with administrative and organisational tasks as required
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to supporting the learning and development of all pupils
  • Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Experience in a school or similar educational environment
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies
  • Experience with bilingual support or language development
