Looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs in a special school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with severe and profound learning difficulties in a structured and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver personalized learning plans
  • Assist with daily routines, social skills development, and sensory support
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
  • Contribute to a positive and safe learning atmosphere for all students
  • Participate in team meetings and share insights to enhance teaching strategies
  • Support the school’s inclusive ethos and promote student well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and Math’s
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have complex and additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Experience working in special education settings

Preferred

  • Experience supporting children with ASD
  • Knowledge of sensory integration techniques
  • Familiarity with educational frameworks for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Background in child development or related field
