Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with severe and profound learning difficulties in a structured and inclusive environment
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver personalized learning plans
- Assist with daily routines, social skills development, and sensory support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
- Contribute to a positive and safe learning atmosphere for all students
- Participate in team meetings and share insights to enhance teaching strategies
- Support the school’s inclusive ethos and promote student well-being
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and Math’s
- Ability to work effectively with children who have complex and additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience working in special education settings
Preferred
- Experience supporting children with ASD
- Knowledge of sensory integration techniques
- Familiarity with educational frameworks for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties
- Background in child development or related field
