The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant is needed to support teaching and learning, working with individuals or small groups of pupils under the direction of teaching staff. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student development and contribute to a school on a transformational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning by assisting teachers with individuals or small groups of pupils
- Deliver learning activities as directed within the overall teaching plan
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure effective pupil engagement and progress
- Provide a caring and supportive environment for students
- Assist with administrative tasks as required
- Contribute to the school’s vision by supporting the development of the whole child
- Participate in continuous professional development opportunities
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with students in a school environment
- Commitment to supporting student learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team under the direction of teaching staff
- Flexibility to work term time only and for 30 hours per week
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or learning support roles
- Knowledge of inclusive learning strategies
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Familiarity with continuous professional development processes
- Strong organisational and time management skills
