Teaching Assistant job opportunity at a school seeking motivated individuals for 30 hours per week, term time only.

The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant is needed to support teaching and learning, working with individuals or small groups of pupils under the direction of teaching staff. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student development and contribute to a school on a transformational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning by assisting teachers with individuals or small groups of pupils
  • Deliver learning activities as directed within the overall teaching plan
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure effective pupil engagement and progress
  • Provide a caring and supportive environment for students
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required
  • Contribute to the school’s vision by supporting the development of the whole child
  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students in a school environment
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team under the direction of teaching staff
  • Flexibility to work term time only and for 30 hours per week

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or learning support roles
  • Knowledge of inclusive learning strategies
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Familiarity with continuous professional development processes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
