Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism and complex needs
  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons and creating tailored learning resources
  • Support emotional regulation, social interaction, and behaviour management
  • Participate in outdoor learning and real-world experiences
  • Build positive, lasting relationships with pupils, families, and professionals
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and specialists to support individual student needs
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Promote independence and personal development through structured activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable nature
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with children with autism or additional needs
  • Experience in education or care settings
  • Knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies
  • Familiarity with sensory support techniques
