Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in developing independence and personal growth through positive, caring interactions.
- Assist the class teacher in managing classroom activities and promoting a structured, engaging learning environment.
- Adapt to the diverse needs of students and contribute to the smooth running of the school.
- Promote students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through tailored support.
- Respond to changing demands and take part in physical intervention when necessary, with full training provided.
- Encourage participation in a broad and creative curriculum that supports student engagement and learning.
- Contribute to the overall aims of the school when required, including additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE in Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent.
- Willingness to work with children with communication difficulties and a commitment to student well-being.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Experience working in a special school environment.
- Team TEACH Training.
