Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
  • Promote a safe and encouraging learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure consistency in student support.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • A relevant qualification or training in education or childcare.
