The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students in Grade 4 and contribute to a positive and encouraging learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential and values professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning and behaviour management within the classroom.
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities under the supervision of the teacher.
  • Provide individualised support to students who require additional help.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistent support for students.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student progress.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school through a positive and proactive attitude.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support the school’s values and mission.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and staff training.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience working with students in a mixed ability classroom.
